Santander celebrates Beatles Day this Saturday the 13th

It will be in Plaza Pombo from 12:00 to 19:00 and fans and attendees in general will be able to take photos in three photocalls set up for the occasion, listen to music from the legendary group and learn some interesting facts about the members of the band.

This Saturday 13th, Plaza Pombo in Santander will host Beatles Day, a day dedicated to the legendary British group to celebrate the 18th anniversary of the Beatles Soul Club.

The event will take place from 12:00 to 19:00 and fans and attendees in general will be able to take photos in three photocalls that will be set up for the occasion. Specifically, they will be themed around three of their most emblematic albums: Sargent Pepper´s (1967); Abbey Road (1969); and Yellow Submarine (1969).

People who come to the square throughout the day will also be able to listen to their unmistakable songs, which will be playing uninterruptedly, and the club members will explain some interesting facts about the members of the rock band.

Finally, the day dedicated to the legendary British group will close at 9:00 p.m. with a concert in Plaza Cañadío by the tribute band ‘Beatles Revival’.

The Councillor for Social Development, Fran Arias, has encouraged fans of the group from Santander and visitors in general to participate in this event that aims to pay tribute to the legendary group and celebrate the 18th anniversary of the Cantabrian club.

The Beatles released a total of 13 studio albums during their eight-year recording career between 1962 and 1970.
