Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallantassured this Wednesday that the response to Iran’s offensive on Tuesday, October 1, will be an attack “powerful, precise and, above all, surprising”.
“They will not understand what happened and how it happened,” said Gallant, during a visit to the Army Intelligence Directorate, his office reported.

Furthermore, Gallant said that the Iranian attack – which consisted of launching 180 ballistic missiles into Israeli territory – was “aggressive,” but not precise.
What was the Iranian attack like?
The bombing of the Islamic republic caused only one death, despite its magnitude. The victim is a Palestinian in the West Bank city of Jericho, hit by the remains of one of the missiles intercepted by the Israeli defense.
The Israeli Armed Forces recognized that some missiles managed to hit the center and south of the country, in the vicinity of bases such as Nevatimin the Negev desert, or that of Tel Nofin the center. However, they stated that all of them continue to operate.
“The Air Force was unharmed, all runways are operational, our activities continue, not a single plane was damaged, not a single soldier or civilian was injured,” the minister continued, without mentioning the Palestinian victim.
