He Government announced this Thursday that it will carry out a process where the suitability of state workers will be evaluated. The announcement was made by the presidential spokesperson Manuel Adorni in his conference at Casa Rosada. This is an exam that will cover 40,000 public employees.

In his usual presentation to the press, the official referred to a series of current issuesincluding the shielding of Deputies to Javier Milei’s veto of the University Financing law, while advancing the implementation of the exam for State agents.

In this regard, Adorni pointed out that the evaluation will begin to be applied in December and that, in principle, it will cover 40 thousand people. “To all those whose contract expires on December 31 and not for permanent staff is renewed,” he pointed out.

In that sense, he added that, to guarantee that it is an objective instance, it will be taken through electronic means.

“The exam will be online so that, of course, there are no subjectivities in the process. This is established in the Bases law, within the framework of the regulatory decree of public employment,” the spokesperson said.

At the same time, he clarified that “disabled people will not participate in the exam in the first instance, since the systems require additional adaptation. This will occur in the month of December, which is when the temporary plant contracts expire.”

On the other hand, he commented that “It will be a necessary but not sufficient requirement, since later, of course, they will define the renewal or not by the usual parameters if the person deserves the renewal of the contract. There are no other details available for now.”

On the path of State reform, the official also revealed that the Government ““decided to put management to operate and maintain the concessioned national routes, which are mostly in charge of Corredores Viales SA, in the hands of the private sector.”

“The companies that are finally concessionaires will only collect the award fee once they have put the entire route in condition. In this way, it is estimated that the State will have savings of 5.6 billion dollars,” he said.

University conflict

When opening the press conference, Manuel Adorni referred to the vote in Congress on Wednesday, where the Chamber of Deputies approved the presidential veto of the “irresponsible” University Financing Law.

On this point, he thanked “to all those who prioritized the importance of taking care of the common good of all, which is to have protected the fiscal balance as they know, absolutely non-negotiable for our Government.”

“This is the stability that the old policy tries to break and we are going to do everything to prevent that from happening. “They want chaos to return, this law was part of that, we veto what we consider a risk to the fiscal balance,” he added.

Regarding the university takeovers that students carry out throughout the country. “It is a crime to take over a university or any building. The space to discuss the university budget or university funds is the 2025 budget, a discussion that we are just moments away from starting,” complete.
