The meeting will be held in the southern Ho Chi Minh City and will bring together leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIC) of Vietnam, representatives of the EU Delegation here, the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham), experts, companies and representatives of localities.

According to the event program, it will take place in two parts. In the first, EuroCham leaders will discuss opportunities for cooperation in the green and energy transition in Vietnam from a European business perspective, as well as market expectations.

This will be followed by a presentation on energy efficiency and sustainable development by the MIC, which will focus on national policies and guidelines for sustainable production and emissions reduction.

Representatives from localities will present priorities and strategies to attract EU investments towards the green and circular economy, and companies will examine market demands to respond to the changing green and sustainable development rules of the EU and the supply criteria for said continent.

According to MIC sources, the debate will include topics such as managing the challenges posed by non-tariff barriers and trade protectionism, EU trade defense policies and practical support measures for business adaptation and response.

It will also update on the main adjustments to EU policies and the roadmap for the implementation of new regulations and standards of the grouping, and will assess the preparation and adaptive capacity of national companies to face these challenges.
