Mosa and the rumor of Borghi as sports manager of Colo Colo

It was a very hectic Friday that Colo Colo experienced. Alfredo Stöhwing ceased to be the president of Black and white, after failing to obtain the necessary votes to be able to continue at the helm of the concessionaire. His biggest detractor, Aníbal Mosa, got the votes of the Colo Colo Social and Sports Club, so the Puerto Montt native, managed to proclaim himself as the new president. This will be his third cycle at the helm of the institution.

At the time of being officially presented at a press conference, Mosa spoke with the media and referred to different points. One of the topics of the moment has been the possibility of remodeling the Monumental Stadium. This was firmly expressed by Stöhwing and the now president was not far behind: “Obviously, within our agenda and vision with the Colo Colo Social and Sports Club is to have a new stadium. It’s what all of us Colocolinos want. We hope to have some guidelines in the month of May and kick things off with some models, lay the first stone”, he expressed.

In his two previous trials with Popular, Aníbal Mosa won different titles in Albos. Apertura 2015, Transition 2017, Copa Chile 2016 and 2019 and the Super Cups of 2017 and 2018. It is hoped that the new process of the Puerto Montt native will bring new celebrations for the Colocolino people.

One of the lowest points that Alfredo Stöhwing’s process as president of Blanco y Negro had was the matter of transfers.. High prices and little contribution on the field, is the way in which the reinforcement market that the team had at the beginning of the 2023 season could be summarized. This situation puts a point of attention for this new process.

Aníbal Mosa refers to the rumor of Borghi as a sports manager

Hours before Aníbal Mosa’s victory was made official, somewhat unexpected information began to circulate. Journalist Juan Cristóbal Guarello reported on Radio Agricultura that Claudio Bichi Borghi would take over as the club’s new sports manager, at the time Aníbal Mosa is declared the new president of Blanco y Negro.

Now, it was Mosa himself who at a press conference confirmed Daniel Morón in his position as sports manager. “There will not be any type of changes in the sporting part, everyone will continue working as is, we have given our support to the coaching staff, Daniel Morón, the players and everyone. We are going to give all our support to what football means,” said Mosa.

Regarding the rumors that linked Borghi to the position, Mosa was categorical: “We met with the squad, we made it clear to them that they have to win the games, work as is. I don’t know where they got that from Claudio Borghi because it’s not true, I haven’t spoken to him in many years. “We are doing well with the people we are working with at the moment,” he concluded.

In this way he settles the issue with the former coach of the Cacique and today a sports commentator. Daniel Morón will continue to perform in his current functions and it was precisely Aníbal Mosa who, in his last period at the club, appointed him as sports manager of Colo Colo.
