The distinguished clothing is Chilean products from the Chilean store Alpakia. In that sense, in conversation with Citizen DNA, Sebastián Nilo, from Alpakia Chile, told how Los Bunkers ended up using their products at the concert on Sunday, April 28 at the National Stadium.

The handmade ponchos

According to Sebastián Nilo, The idea of starting a ponchos business started seven years ago., when he moved to the south and realized that the career he studied (commercial engineering) had no job opportunities there. “Looking for work, I went around craft fairs a lot, I also left ill-equipped for the winter, I bought a poncho and suddenly I began to see that it was a super noble garment that could be used both for going camping and for a formal occasion or for the cold, and I realized that there was no such thing as a poncho march. There were brands of sneakers, jeans or T-shirts, but no poncho”he detailed.

In that context, Sebastián Nilo related that “when I returned to Santiago, I contacted many artisans from whom I got contacts and we started working together to put together this beautiful and more updated brand. “An old garment, but more modern, with a hood and pretty colors.”

Contact with Los Bunkers

According to Nilo’s story, the first contact with Los Bunkers thought it could be a joke. “The manager called me, he told me he had a group of artists and he told me that they are Los Bunkers,” he said.

“He asked me if we could coordinate a time and I thought it was a joke, I was in the store and they arrived“I know them, but with everything that happened now I realized the impact they have on society, the number of people they can attract, I didn’t know,” he added.

Regarding the choice of poncho “They went straight to the store, they wanted a special one.”. I told the manager that I wish they could see them because there are different textures, different materials, some are itchy and some are not, some are softer. So, What they were clear about was that they wanted certain colors, red and black was what they were looking for. and I offered them different varieties,” he explained.

At that moment, when they showed up at the store “I didn’t know them personally, but they were adorable. They behaved like just another customer. If you are listening to the radio, I thank you that I couldn’t give it to you that day because I was a little nervous. But, the kids behaved super, they chose them quickly.”

The Bunkers and their presentation with the ponchos

At the time of selecting their ponchos, the members of Los Bunkers They did not tell Sebastián that they would be used in their concerts.

“When they invited me to the concert and I see everything they did, they didn’t tell me. I thought they were going to go out and nothing more, but everything they did, the symbolism was something very beautiful. I was there in front watching their show and tremendous band, I felt very proud that they had our products that day,” he recalled.

Finally, Sebastián Nilo related that “I still owe Gonzalo a little ponchito. He left it paid and we told him we were going to iron it for him and he said he was going to come later, but he still hasn’t, so we have it there.”
