China first completed the export of fresh pears to Argentina, marking a historical fact in bilateral trade. The shipment, from the province of Hebei, included 2,597 boxes that total 17.5 tons of fruit and was made by the company Botou Dongfang Fruit Co., Ltd. The estimated value of the cargo was 183,000 yuan, about 25,420 dollars.
Shijiazhuang customs, responsible for the office, reported that this export responds to the growing demand from Latin America for Chinese agricultural products. The fresh pear, emblem of the Hebei fruit sector, is already marketed in about 50 countries and regions. Now, add Argentina as a new strategic destination.

During the first quarter of 2025, the province exported 69,000 tons of pears, which represented an interannual increase of 14.8% in volume and 13.9% in value. Li Yuxiang, official of the Cangzhou area, explained that self -inspection and internal control by companies are promoted, especially to reduce risks of toxic substances or pests. In addition, the exit process was optimized to ensure that pears arrive fresh to Latin American consumers.
