The Angel María de Rosa Municipal Museum (Muma) has a valuable collection of works by fundamental artists of Argentine art, such is the case of the renowned Master Héctor Cartier.

The recent visit of the curator and researcher Cecilia Medina, within the framework of a research of Cartier, highlights the quality of the local heritage and the importance of the museum as a place of study, preservation and dissemination of art.

The project seeks to recognize and honor Cartier’s task with a fundamental role in teaching and its vision of art, as spread through the Instagram Cartier Instagram .

“For me it is very important that the museum’s doors have opened to me for this research project. It is essential to be able to make contact, both with the history and the collection they have within this wonderful place. The incorporation of the Museum of Contemporary Art was a key decision to continue with that cultural dynamic so rich that Junín has.

It should be remembered that the Maca, located in Newbery 357, bears the name of the renowned artist, Héctor J. Cartier.

Cartier’s works and Argentine art

Laura Gelari, a member of the Museum Technical Team, accompanied Medina her visit and gave detail of the works of the outstanding artist.

“We have about eleven works by Héctor Cartier, which cover from portraits to lifting natures,” although he said that “it is not only about Cartier, in the museum there are works of fundamental references of Argentine art.”
