
The Avellaneda sculptor, Tomás Franzoi again consecrated himself as the winner of the International Enculturers Meetingwhich celebrated its sixth edition this weekend in the city of Presidency Roque Sáenz Peña, Chaco.
The work «Water and fire», inspired by the theme of in danger of extinction, was the outstanding piece that earned Franzoi his third first prize in this prestigious contest.
Franzoi, an almost constant participant of the event – was present in five of the six editions – had previously won in 2021 with The cotton girl And in 2023 with Interior teacher. With this new triumph, it consolidates its place as a central figure in the international sculptural circuit.
-The second place was for the Cordoba Pablo Fracchia, with his work Courtship in flightwhile the third prize was won by the Bolivian Noemí Oropeza Sardina for Nectar of life. In addition, special mentions were granted to Leo Avalis (Río Negro) by Halcon bat Already Marcelo Chuquin (Ecuador) by The power of birds.
During the awards ceremony, Mayor Bruno Cipolini thanked the sculptors and the public for their participation, highlighting the value of the meeting for the cultural identity of Sáenz Peña. «This edition was somewhat rugged by the weather, but I thank each of those who approached to see the product of the art made by the sculptors. It is something that fills us with pride, ”he said.
The jury of the contest was made up of Juan Carlos Mercury, Humberto Gómez Lollo, Juan Pistilli and Eric Franco. In addition, the public could participate by voting for their favorite work in an urn specially enabled for it.
