What personal motivations or experiences led you to develop this particular series?

“The exhibition was entitled” 33 tulips “because I fulfill 34 years, so it is 33 years that I have lived. I am taking a of pause to contemplate all the I have done for many years and now see how all this effort that has brought many things to my life flourishes. It is about the compilation of all these memories, of the beautiful things and those that are not so beautiful and how I face them and how I She, ”said excitedly Carlos Alexis Rivera Rivera When talking about the metaphor that explores through this flower.

Why did you choose this flower to represent transformation and resilience?

“The tulip is a simple flower, but at the same time it is very and I wanted to have this relationship to flour I wanted to do that metaphor with the flower and how life treats me, with a pretty face, ”he explained.

Through colorful brushstrokes, its new artistic commitment is composed of 15 works on Canvas, five sculptures and an audiovisual piece. In addition, the exhibition will have a video car installation on LED screens, which amplifies the visual and immersive narrative.

What are you looking to cause in the viewer with this immersive experience?

“When I went to , my preparation was in the image and movement,” explained the graduate in Fine Arts, with specialization in design and digital art of the School of Plastic Arts of Puerto Rico.

“I have explored expressions such as painting, mural, tattoo, and ceramics. I was looking for how to integrate technology and how to turn this show into something else, and not the typical art event that you are going and stays tied to the wall. He wanted dynamism, and create a language that was related to the works, but that they also had the opportunity to observe and have an experience that transported beyond,” added the muralist Founder of “Skills Creative Studios”.

Likewise, the artist defines his works, a series that took three months of work, such as “a seed sown over time.” Is there a piece that represents a specific moment in your artistic ?

“In each piece, while I was working, in my consciousness I was giving a special place to the memoirs of what I had to do to get to the place where I am. But I did not get into a specific moment. Although I did use the color and textures as a way to be able to mount the time and explore with the oil, as it is so slow … it can be transforming and adjusting as I work. I related this to the life process.”

What to seek to convey through art?

“My intention with this is that people also take the same break that I took to organize this exhibition. If one does not to reflect and see everything built, we do not know what the next movement will be. I want people to use these pieces for a moment of reflection, investigate and think if what they are doing is consistent with what they want of themselves. The intention is that they believe in them,” he concluded.
