New era at the official College of Architects of the Region of Murcia (COAMU). Arturo García Agüera (Cartagena, 1991) was chosen this new decan-president of the Profession of support, which ended at 9 pm.
García Agüera achieved 199 votes in a close elections of open candidacies in which he won his only rival, Antonio Ángel Clemente, formed in the Polytechnic of Cartagena and collegiate since 1984. Although he recently retired as an official (he held the position of head of the ordination service of the territory of the Autonomous Community), Clemente remains active in the trade, since he collaborates in the architecture studio of the safe.
With 33 years, the new representative of the architects of the Region of Murcia formed at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena and has a study in the port city specialized in the foreign client. His choice is Nueva Savia for his youth, while representing continuity at school, since García Agüera has held the position of secretary of the Governing Board in the last mandate of María José Peñalver, who will leave office after two periods of three years, maximum time in the position established by the statutes.
Full candidacy
Arturo García Agüera faces this new stage “with enthusiasm, a lot of energy and an extraordinary team,” according to the result of the result that will be placed at the head of the Coamu over the next three years. To which the future Dean added the satisfaction of having achieved that all the members of his candidacy have been elected next to him, since the elections were based on open lists.
This is the majority of the team that has been this mandate with Peñalver, formed by María José Climent Mondéjar (Vicedecana); María Luisa Ruipérez García (Secretary); Juan Rodríguez Jiménez (Treasurer) and, as vowels, Luz de la Villa Batres, Miguel Fernández Vallés, Lara Pardo Guardiola, Flora Cánovas Otto and Rosario Contreras Vicente.
«New Generation»
Although he will have to wait for the next day 28 to take office in an act “open to the entire public”, the Cartagena architect has proposed “to represent the new generation of professionals.” In this regard, he stressed that «one of its objectives is to attract COAMU to the new generations of professionals. «We observe that they are disconnected, that they feel little attached to the institution. We want to put it in value, that is useful for all partners ».
It should be noted that the architects of the Region of Murcia did not celebrate elections since 2010 (when Antonio García Herrero beat Francisco Camino in an adjusted vote), since in the last three decades no more than one candidacy had been presented in the different calls, so it was not necessary to go to the polls or in the stage of Rafael Pardo Prefasi or in that of María José Peñalver.
