The Francisco Sobrino Museum continues with the commemorative acts for its tenth anniversary. After the successful psychedelic party held on March 30, on May 9 at 7:00 p.m., the exhibition ‘Francisco Sobrino: Unpublished, a unique sample that will offer a new look on the artist’s work will be inaugurated.
The exhibition brings together about thirty pieces belonging to the personal collection of the nephew himself, never exhibited in Spain. The Councilor for Culture, Javier Toquero, explained that the title of the exhibition, ‘Unpublished’, refers to the French term that refers to the unpublished, highlighting the exclusive nature of the selected works.
The exhibition has been curated by Alfonso de la Torre, recognized specialist in the geometric art of the European twentieth century and author of the monograph on nephew published in 2019. De la Torre has designed a route that will occupy the entire museum, including sculptures made in various materials, works with its characteristics permutations, and original pieces of the artist’s study.
Toquero has especially thanked the collaboration of the nephew family, highlighting that this exhibition is possible thanks to the agreement signed in recent months, which guarantees the continuity of cultural activity in this emblematic space of the city.
