“Shanghai’s charm, unlimited future”: a visual tour of the Chinese city in the Libertad Palace

This May 11 is inaugurated the urban photographic exhibition “Shanghai’s charm, unlimited future” in it Palacio de la Libertad, In the city of Buenos Aires. This exhibition is given within the framework of the 53rd anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic relations between China and Argentinathe 11th anniversary of the Bilateral Integral Strategic Association and the fourth year since Argentina formally adhered to the initiative of the Strip and the Route. In this context, Argentina has become the Sixth Commercial Partner of China in Latin , and China in the largest global business partner in Argentina.

He Zhongming, urban photographer with Shanghai auditory disabilities, has transformed the city’s architectural landscape into a visual alphabet through its innovative “Digital City” series. Although he cannot hear the urban bustle, he captures its essence with an exceptional concentration, using drones to map iconic buildings in the 26 letters of the English alphabet.

Inspired by his achievements (such as the Paloma de Plata de Shanghai 2023-2024 and his participation in the 14th exhibition of photographic art of Shanghai), Zhongming undertook the of “writing” Shanghai’s international identity. For years, he toured the 16 districts of the city, from the Lujiazui crystal skyscrapers to the historical alleys. His persistence paid off in July 2024 upon discovering a Z -shaped building in the humanistic commemorative park, completing the alphabet.
