Stoneweg, Places & Experiences will invest 100 million euros to transform the old comedy cinema of Gràcia Paseo in the new Carmen Thyssen Museum in Barcelona, as explained this noon Juan Manuel Sevillano, director of the Leisure Project Company, during a colloquium held in the Equestrian circle.

There was coincidence between the contestants: when there is complicity between administrations and private entities, culture expands and approaches all pockets. “In the Macba we work together. The Administrations, Central Government, Generalitat and City Council, are responsible for covering ordinary expenses. The Macba Foundation, private, fills the Museum of Works and drives educational and social programs. It is a successful model,” said Grandes.
Sevillano agreed that the project of the new Thyssen Museum in Barcelona, which will open its doors in about three years, “would not work without the complicity of the City Council.” But for now it is private investment that has opted to convert the old cinema into a museum space. On Wednesday the purchase of the property was closed. Stoneweg, Places & Experiences will allocate 100 million to the payment of the property and its reform to transform it into the new equipment.
