“Flow to axis, the freedom to choose change”, It is a book by psychologist Alejandro de Giovanni that is presented on Thursday, May 8, at 19.30, at the Atlas Cultural Center, by Miter 645.
“What comes to offer the book is to provide looks, reflections, information and tools to simplify and have certain options for change. It is not about being hurried. But being more satisfied with our learning processes. Slow and efficiency are not self -exchanged. Finding ways that expedite and stimulate the appropriate means more naturally and accessible, can help us when undertaking a process of change, ”says the author on the work.
That, in the book, he suggests with serenity and amplitude three questions: What to change, when to change, how much I want to change.
“At times it seems that we do everything wrong in our lives and the imperative of change arises. Of course this is not true. Even if we stop we will discover that we have more tools than we believe. But perhaps they were disused and forgotten,” says the author. What makes sense of the first question: what I need and I want to change.
“Another factors that influence us is that of the trouble. We are in an era of immediacy. Everything already! And each process has its starting times, development and scope of the desired goals. Define when it is conducive to starting a change,” he adds.
On how much, adds: “The whole and nothing, always and never, all and no one. Categories that represent polarities that reduce my ability to discern with a more nuanced and progressive criterion in the search for a change. Define how much it helps me to properly provide desirable changes”.
According to Giovanni “the tools offered to flow to the axis is a contribution to the search for change, it is or not yet in a therapeutic process. It offers information to understand, and it is about understanding to act. And these actions produce the reduction of discomfort or the production of well -being, objectives of all therapy.”
The professional defines the book as “a map that guides the search and personal exploration with enough similarity to any therapeutic process. Fundamental questions, precise information, specific knowledge and practical exercises derived from the understandings made.”
Giovanni is, in addition to Psychologist, Bachelor of Physical Education and Lifeguard.
