Misiones prepares for its special day in the Fair that takes place in Buenos Aires from April 24 until May 12. The day assigned for local authors is Friday afternoon, in one of the halls arranged at the “La Rural” fairground.
In total they are ten works that will be presented according to what was advanced by the Ministry of Culture of the province. On this occasion the reading committee selected:
• “Iguazú”, by Maximiliano González (novel).
• “Red trilogy like the red earth”, by Charly Bastarrechea (dramaturgy).
• “Where you are now is a place without images”, by Belén Maldonado (poetry).
• “Techniques that feed”, by Gabriela Schiavoni (trial/ research).
• “In South America, Alto Paraná and Chaco”, by Adamo Lucchesi (research).
• “Missions and its dances”, by Myrian Sosa (thesis / research work).
• “Meliponicultura and Bombicultura”, by Pablo Fernando Muller, Norma Hilgert and Estela Santos Martinez (Report).
• “The reduction of Candelaria”, by Cristian Neris and Liliana Rojas (historical research).
-• “Nélida Puerta”, by Ignacio Spinnato / Nélida Spinnato (graphic book).
• “Matte in bed”, by Lara Schwieters (stories and stories).
Osvaldo Mazal, Lucía Pérez Campos, Liliana Nery, Roberto Maack, Ivana Roth and Carla Andruskevicz were the members of the Committee in charge of the national Team among the more than fifty works that were presented this year this year. “We are pleased to see how the level of missionary authors is growing, and verify that almost all literary production items are covered,” they said. The selected works will have the opportunity to present themselves in the White Hall of the “La Rural” Fairground.
He Missions Day at the International Book Fair is a great opportunity to show what is written and published in the province. The presence of missionary authors and authors not only allows their own stories and cultures to be shared, but also connect with new readers, create links with other actors in the publishing world and strengthen the work done from the independent edition.
At the same time, the Ministry of Culture seeks to reaffirm the presence of missions in national cultural circuits in order to install and promote the intellectual production of the region.
The 49th International Book Fair of Buenos Aires is already framed as one of the most relevant cultural events of the year in the literary field. According to the El Book Foundation, the event has the Participation of the City of Buenos Aires, the National Library and most of the provinces of the country.
Among the outstanding activities, the 20th anniversary of the Book %program, promoted by Conabip (National Commission of Popular Libraries), which seeks to facilitate access to books at accessible prices.
In addition, the Foundation is already working on special actions to commemorate the 50th edition of the Fair, which will be held in 2026.
