Don Bosco Editions, at the Book Fair of Buenos Aires

The Editorial of the Salesian Inspectoría Blessed Ceferino Namuncurá is participating in the Book Fair of Buenos Aireswhich will end on May 12 at the La Rural Fairground, in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. ⁣⁣



Like year, the 431 of Don Bosco editions, located in the Blue Pavilion, with a variety of books published and the sale, as well as products made by the same congregation in its communities in the interior of the country. There will also be surprise raffles.

There will be between 10% and 40% for and members of associative of the Salesian houses of Argentina that pass through the stand of Don Bosco editions. The same also applies to all teachers of the of Don Bosco. In all cases, they must accredit belonging to the work.

Upcoming presentations

This year, Ediciones Don Bosco organized different presentations:

  • Missionary Memory of the Salesians in Patagonia (Wednesday, May 7 at 19, Sala Ernesto Sábato – Blue Pavilion)

This book is a tribute to those who 150 years ago arrived in Argentina in the missionary expedition of Salesians sent by the own Don Boscoin 1875, outside Italy. They dreamed and made it possible for the ’s paternal gestures to cross the Atlantic Ocean and reach these lands to bring the of God’s unconditional love. It is a publication for a reading in “Travel mode”, accompanying the historical-geographical-spiritual tour of some of the places of the Salesians in Patagonia. In some parts of this itinerary, special attention is paid to the figures of Blessed Laura Vicuña, the Blessed Ceferino Namuncurá and San Artémides Zatti, as well as other pioneers, Salesians and Salesianas, of the first hour.

This book presents the testimony of saints and holy of colonial , from the fifteenth to the 19th century, touring latitudes that cover from to the current Argentine territory. Mama Antula, and other saints and saints of Latin America, who accompany her in the ten chapters of this new book, present a lived holiness “to the Creole”, that is, a version of our holiness, typical of those who toured these lands in other centuries and lived challenging and complex times: San Roque González, born in Asunción; Marianita de Jesús, born in Quito; Santa Rosa de Lima and San Martín de Porres, originating in the City of Kings.
