- The main objective is to offer pleasant information with original illustrations about emotions in childhoods.
Within the framework of the Day of Girls and Boys on the Esparza Oteo stage of the Carranza Cultural Corridor, the presentation of the book “Instruction to create a rainbow” was carried out by Pilar Palacios, an enlightened work that offers alternative proposals for emotional accompaniment in childhoods.
It is the story of Carmina, a girl with stiff emotions, and her grandmother, who teaches her a home remedy: the creation of an rainbow. Throughout history, and suggested activities, readers can explore their emotions and how to manage them.
During the event, the author shared her interest in creating an accessible, pleasant and thoughtful material to be read as a family. “This book is born from the desire to accompany girls and boys in the discovery of their emotions, from a space of play, art and containment,” Palacios said in front of the public.
Accompanying the author were girls and boys who actively participated in reading the book:
- Maya Ávila García, 8 years old
- Máximo Leonardo Sánchez Solís, 6 years
- Esteban Itzae Muñoz Ruíz, 8 years
- Franco Iktan Sánchez de la Cruz, 6 years
- Duru Turk Ibarra, 6 years
The publication stands out for its original illustrations and for including additional content aimed at mothers, fathers and caregivers, in order to strengthen shared reading and emotional development in the family environment.
