For the second consecutive year, the Gure-Txoko Retiree Association and the Elderly Council, in collaboration with the Social Services Area … And equality of the City of Zumarraga, has celebrated the International Book day, with an intergenational activity. In this initiative, third -party students from school, Gainzuri and La Salle have participated.
During the day, several people from the Gure-Txoko literature workshop shared with the girls and boys the reading of the story ‘Munduko Liburu Metarik Altuena’ by Rocio Bonilla. Through this story, a joint reflection on the benefits of reading was motivated, with the aim of arouseing interest and enjoyment in books.
The act was completed with the representation of the traditional story ‘The golden fish’, narrated and interpreted by the members of the Literature Workshop, together with the Irri-Makila theater group of Gure-Txoko, who offered a dynamic and enjoyable staging that captivated those present.
As the promoters of the initiative underline, “an endearing day that united generations through literature and that stressed the importance of promoting reading from childhood.”
