Mario Alonso Puig, a recognized Spanish doctor and speaker, attended the International Book Fair of Buenos Aires, where he shared his reflections on the impact that books have on personal development.
During an interview in the program ‘Do not try to understand it’ on Radio Metro, Puig spoke about his affection for Argentine food and his first steps as a reader, mentioning writers such as Emilio Salgari and Hermann Hesse. He said that his book ‘Leader Wood’ arose from the need to demonstrate that leadership is to inspire and mobilize others.
In the talk, Dr. Puig identified that beyond individual searches, we all share a universal desire. According to their experience, there are three fundamental elements that we all yearn to improve the quality of our lives.

More mental clarity: In complicated situations, whether personal or labor, it is often lacking direction. Clarity is crucial to make accurate decisions. Puig stressed the importance of language, which has a remarkable impact. By expressing what we feel, we can better handle our emotions. “What I can’t overcome is what I don’t understand,” he said.
Interior peace: This search is deeper than the simple search for well -being. Happiness, like “the joy of the heart”, depends on our connection with ourselves. Maintaining this connection is fundamental, especially in difficult times, and provides a sense of calm.
Trust: This is the third key and is connected to the other two. According to Puig, any effort to generate mental clarity and inner peace also encourages trust, which can be of great help in the path of personal development.
