From the typewriter to the digital book
He says that when he wrote the book with 18 years, it was something deeply personal. He only shared it with his closest circle to know his opinion, but kept it in a drawer, as a memory. However, in 2020, during the pandemic he discovered the possibility of self -publishing. With 49 years, he realized that it was time to try.
“I transcribed the novel I had written by machine and, with patience, to the digital format. It was exciting to see how something of the past took shape again. In front of the computer I revived my book and my youth,” he recalls. “You don’t have to be afraid to publish or dare. The emotion of having your own book in the hands is simply incredible.”
Day journalist, a lifetime novelist
“Since childhood, I knew that my way would be journalism. In my home, the radio was always on, and my curiosity for the news of the world accompanied me since I was a child. I was always a creative person, with a great imagination, and I loved writing personal newspapers to express my feelings and reflections.” In his free time, he remembers that he gave himself to writing, to the point that ideas came to her even in dreams.
“My experience as a journalist has influenced the way of writing, since we always have to read in our work, discover and enrich our vocabulary.
