Cádiz (Spain), May 8 (EFE) .- Nicaraguan writer Gioconda Belli will be the preacher of the 40 Cádiz Book Fair, which will be held from June 27 to July 6 in this city in southern Spain and that this year will be dedicated to the letters of America.
As reported on Thursday the City of Cádiz at a press conference, the programming of this edition includes an extensive range of activities that reinforce historical and cultural ties between Cádiz and the American continent.
The poster, the work of the Cadiz artist Andi Rivas, illustrates this transatlantic connection.
Together with Belli, authors such as the Colombian Héctor Abad Faciolince, the Argentines Pola Oloixarac and Mariana Sández, the Venezuelan Verónica Jaffe and the Cubans Andy Jorge Pérez and Enrique del Risco will participate.
As every year, one day will be dedicated to an Latin American country and this time Peru will be the protagonist, as a wink to the Language Congress in Arequipa, with the presence of Gabriela Wiener and Fernando Iwasaki and the dramatized reading of a work of Peruvian dramaturgy by the Teatro Gaviota and the Ibero -American Theater Festival.
The programming will also include tables on former Salvadoran Magic Futxist González, the relationship of the Spanish musician Manuel de Falla with Argentina, the crops of corn from Mexico, the American botany, the carnivals on both sides of the Atlantic and the figure of Donald Trump.
