“‘Binary Star’, Book of the Editorial Planeta, will be present at the Bogotá Book Fair. It is not just a work that pays tribute to the more than 40 years of artistic career of the teacher Gonzalo Arturo ‘El Cocha’ Molina; It is also a declaration of commitment to the preservation, conservation and evolution of vallenata music”Said Julieth Peraza, wife of the accordion ‘Cocha’ Molina to El Pilón.
She added that with this literary creation she wanted to recognize her husband’s effort to keep Vallenata music alive and the achievements she has obtained in her personal and artistic career. The prologue was written by the renowned journalist and writer Daniel Samper Pizano, who with his valuable participation pays a tribute to vallenato folklore.
“In ‘Binary star’ It is a statement above all of love, of principles that I made ‘cocha’. This book includes tributes to Master Diomedes Díaz, tells the life story of ‘Cocha’ during his childhood, the hard test his family passed when his father died from an accident when his house caught fire in Valledupar. I also swept its presentation at the vallenatos festivals, the union and separation with Diomedes Díazas well as the revelation of musical secrets. We are very happy with this invitation to the Book Fair “Julieth Peraza said.
