A new day in court in the framework of the Primus case was held this Wednesday with the reformalization of the four main ones imputed in the case: Francisco Coeymans, Marcelo Rivadeneira, Antonio Guzmán and Ignacio Amenábar (in the photos from left to right).
The diligence was carried out after the new complaint against the investigated, this time, by the Internal Tax Service (SII), which denounced the crime of malicious delivery of false data in the declaration of initiation of activities of 68 companies, between 2019 and 2023, “in order to obtain authorization of tax documentation that allowed them to obtain illicit money from primus capital,” he said.
All the accused were signed up as authors and the SII identified irregularities such as, for example, that “the income of the shareholders are not conditioned with the sums related to the capital contribution.”
In addition, he pointed out that “the activities recorded by the companies require the presence of workers, however, these do not present affidavits 1887 or 1879, on salaries and/or fees.”
While “there are links in their homes (false or non -existent), and in the authorized persons for the issuance of electronic tax documents”, among other irregularities, added the complaint of the SII on which the reformalization was based.
Roles
Regarding the roles of each accused in the edge of tax crimes, the SII explained that Rivadeneira was able to link “with the analyzed companies, for recruiting various testaferos for their constitution and start of activities.”
In the case of Guzmán, he denounced “money transfer operations from its own current accounts or their societies” towards companies related to Rivadeneira.
Finally, for the respectively former general manager and former commercial director of Primus Capital, Coeymans and Amenábar, “they facilitated the incorporation of the societies created by Rivadeneira and Guzmán as clients.”
The foregoing, “appearing that companies registered real movements through the issuance of false tax documents and thus subtract money illicitly.”
Review of precautionary
After the reading of charges, the Public Ministry did not make applications to the Court regarding the accused.
In this way, Coeymans, Rivadeneira and Guzmán remain in preventive detention in the Capitán Yáber prison annex, from which they were transferred to the Justice Center for the instance. Amenábar, on the other hand, returned to his total house arrest that he is serving May 10.
Of course, after requests from the respective defenses, a precautionary review hearing for Rivadeneira and Coeymans was agreed for May 8.
