
THE NEW DIARIO, SAN PEDRO DE MACORÍS.- National Police agents, assigned to the Southeast Regional Directorate, recovered two illegal firearms as a result of investigations around the incident that occurred at dawn last Tuesday, April 30, in the Barrio Blanco sector, in the San Pedro de Macorís province, where two people were gunshot wounds.
The investigations are part of the process opened by the wounds caused to Willy Francisco Medina aka “El Tatico”, 29, and a Haitian teenager, 16, during a confrontation in which the detainees were involved Wellington Félix Sosa Heredia, “Sammy”, 26, and Yeremy Ozoria Peguero, of 23.

The acting agents moved to the indicated place, where they located a Glock 43, purple color, 9mm caliber, series No. Veen901, with their charger and capsules, as well as another Glock 42 gun, .380 caliber, series No. ACXH290, also with its loader and capsules.
The detainee said that these weapons, both he and “Sammy”, had received them as an antisocials linked to criminal activities in the area. He added, in addition, that the grocery store where it operates commercially served as a facade for these irregular operations.
Recovered weapons remain in custody of the Public Ministry, while the investigative process continues to determine the scope of illegal activities and establish possible links with other criminal acts.
