Renfe has opened the Club Salas and has performed the search for accommodation in hotels for travelers who could not continue last night with their trip, in order to offer them the greatest possible comfort while the normality is restored in the service.
In this sense, the company has reserved 220 hotel rooms for people traveling with minors, older and travelers with special needs. For the rest the club rooms have been enabled with food, drink and blankets.
For its part, an alternative road transport plan for the Avant Madrid 22:15 – Puertollano 23:37 has been established.
Renfe is intensifying the attention to travelers through the reinforcement of the information equipment, the communication of estimated travel time and the distribution of food and drink.
The company has increased the provision of personnel in stations and is working to mobilize as many trains as possible, despite the operational limitations derived from the current incidence.
With this purpose, from 6 in the morning a staff reinforcement has been carried out in Atocha to inform travelers, while trains have been scheduled in double composition and special services.
Renfe has also reinforced the vicinity service to facilitate the arrivals of the affected travelers. To this end, the Cercanías service has remained operational during the night and the start -up of a special train at 3:50 a.m. to 4:50 p.m. to Chamartín, Alcalá de Henares, Móstoles, Parla and Fuenlabrada has been coordinated.
