Fight three fires in the province
The Provincial Emergency Committee reported that three active fire focuses are registered in different parts of the provincial territory. According to the official report, these are urban-forest interface fires, that is, in areas where urban areas and natural vegetation coexist.
The first focus is located next to National Route No. 9, at kilometer 6, at the crossroads to Villa Mazán, in the Arauco department. In that place they work in a coordinated firefighters of the city of La Rioja, the Forest Brigade, Civil Defense of the Sanagasta Department, Firefighters of Sanagasta and a team of the municipality of Arauco. So far, the fire is contained.
The second focus is located in front of the city park, where Firefighters of La Rioja intervenes, with Unit B ° 9.
While the third focus is developed in the vicinity of the Legislative Camping, where Eagle Steel Firefighters intervenes.
From the Provincial Emergency Committee, they stressed that the fight of the flames on all three fronts is constantly monitored through the Comprehensive Early Alert System of La Rioja.
