Querétaro, Qro., May 6, 2025.- singer Federica Quijano, a member of the Kabah group, was hospitalized emergency and resorted to social networks to request support in a complicated health situation that, he explained, requires immediate medical care.
Through a video published on May 5 on his Instagram account, Quijano revealed that he needs to undergo column surgery, but faces obstacles by his insurer, with whom he has had a contract for more than three decades. “I am admitted, in the hospital, and this is a message asking for help to my insurance”he explained from a hospital bed.
The singer expressed her frustration for the process required by the insurer, since she was requested a second medical assessment by an external specialist before authorizing the procedure. However, he pointed out that his current condition prevents him from moving on his own. “I can’t go, I can’t walk,” he said.
Quijano also criticized the lack of response and clarity about the steps to follow for the authorization of his surgery. “They ask me to schedule surgery, but I can’t program my pain or my body,” he said with visible discomfort.
In his message, he made an urgent call to the insurer to obtain a resolution that allows him to continue the treatment.
“It is a column operation to which I am very afraid. I don’t want to do it, but I don’t have time because I have to work,” he shared.
The publication generated numerous support samples from his followers, who expressed solidarity and wished him a speedy recovery. Quijano also stressed the importance of empathy and understanding at the moment, pointing out that many people do not know the complex processes of the insurance system and that depend on those who present themselves as experts.
So far, the insurer has not issued a public response on the case.
It should be remembered that Federica Quijano recently left his position as Secretary of Sustainable Development of the Yucatan Government. According to statements by Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena, the singer presented her resignation for personal and professional reasons.
