Colombia cries. His land, watered by the generous blood of our soldiers, Marine infants, military police and aviators, throbb with a deep pain, moved by the vile murder of those who have sworn to defend it with honor, loyalty and courage our homeland.
The recent attacks perpetrated by criminal structures such as the dissidents of the FARC, the ELN, the Gulf clan and other bands at the service of drug trafficking not only enlighten Colombian families: they are an open wound to national sovereignty, to the dignity of our institutions and the hope of millions of citizens who yearn to live in peace.
Our uniformed heroes were children, parents, brothers, husbands, friends. They were Colombians with a face, with dreams, with the heart stained with national love, who accepted with Gallardía the sacred duty to protect their people, even at the price of their own life.
They did not fall in combat! They were vilely killed! Cowardly ambushed by those who, parapeted in blood -stained arms and hypocritical speeches, try to kneel the will of the State and sow chaos.
From the deepest of the national soul, we raise a cry of pain and resistance. Colombia cannot accept barbarism with resignation! We cannot continue losing our best men and women while the country advances, with difficulty and hope, in processes that seek peace. Reconciliation is necessary, yes, but it must be accompanied by memory, respect for victims and real commitment to truth and justice.
To the families of our martyrs, all support, solidarity and the eternal hug of the country. His duel is that of a grateful and hurt nation, who refuses to forget, and who must turn his pain and his anger into justice.
To our glorious national army, to the Marine Infantry, to the brave Colombian aerospace force and the heroic National Police: They are not alone! The communities honor them and accompany them. Each raised flag, each anticipated anthem, every firm step of a Colombian, is also an act of recognition and support for their daily sacrifice.
The enemies of the homeland – those who murder uniformed, kidnap territories, traffic weapons and destroy communities – do not represent ideals or social struggles. They represent the decline of crime, the mercantilism of death and contempt for life.
With them it is not negotiated! With them the duty, law and courage of the nation faces.
Today, more than ever, Colombia must close rows. That, from every corner of the territory, from each institution, from each home, the clamor of a people that demands justice, truth and determined action against terrorism is heard.
Colombia has the right to peace, but a peace with dignity, without claudications. A peace built with memory, truth, and with the intact honor of its military forces.
Eternal honor to our fallen heroes!
Colombia does not forget, Colombia Honra, Colombia resists! And above all … Colombia demands justice.
