They ask for 30 days in preventive detention for the judge who annulled arrest warrant against Evo Morales

The Public Ministry on Tuesday requested preventive detention for 30 days at the Palmasola prison for Judge Lilian Moreno, who annulled an arrest warrant issued against former President Evo Morales.

The application was filed before the Criminal Instruction, Anticorruption and against Violence against Women No. 4 of La Paz.

On April 30, Moreno, Judge of Santa Cruz, issued a ruling that annulled the arrest warrant against Evo Morales issued by the Tarija Prosecutor’s Office, for the crimes of trafficking and trafficking of persons. Two days after the Peace Judge annulled the decision.

The Ministry of Justice charged Moreno for the crimes of disobedience to resolutions in and unconstitutionality actions. Yesterday, Monday, the magistrate was in Santa Cruz and transported to La Paz, where he keeps detention in the Special Force to Fight Crime (FELCC).

The Prosecutor’s Office argued that there are risks of escape and hindering the , since the judge would not have enough elements of roots and could avoid undergoing investigation. During the 30 days of detention requested, it is expected to take statements, request evidence and access audience recordings related to a action processed in Santa Cruz.
