The exhibition ‘Kalato, 50 masterpieces’ It will take over from Wednesday, May 14, to the sample ‘fragmented looks. Thus, the mayor of Toledo, Carlos Velázquez, has announced that the work of the Toledo sculptor Francisco García ‘Kalato’, an academic and professor of the Toledo Art School, who died in 2024, will be the protagonist during the coming months in this space, within the cultural program designed by the City Council of Toledo on the occasion of the campaign to promote the candidacy of Toledo as European capital of the European capital in 2021.
-Velázquez recalled that the last time his work was exposed was in the Museum of Santa Cruz de Toledo on the occasion of the exhibition “Kalaato: creation and didactics of sculpture”, in 2008.
The exhibition, whose commissioner is the former director of the Greco Museum, Juan Antonio García Castro, will be inaugurated on Thursday, May 14, at seven in the afternoon, and will remain open until July 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., from Monday to Sunday.
