San Salvador lived a day of violence this Sunday with two facts that resulted in homicide attemptsaccording to police sources. Both cases are being investigated by local authorities, who have already made arrests and kidnapped elements of interest for causes.
In the early hours of Sunday, a man entered the San Miguel hospital after having been the victim of an aggression on public roads. According to the police chief, Leonardo Morales, in dialogue with the program “Another morning” (Mercury HD)the man was intercepted by several people, some of whom he knew and with whom he apparently maintained previous conflicts.
Initially, the medical report cataloged injuries as mild, but after the progress of the investigation and the collection of evidence – including testimonies of witnesses and recordings of security cameras -, the Prosecutor’s Office decided to requalify the case as “homicide in the degree of attempt” due to the seriousness of the facts.
In compliance with judicial orders issued by the Court of Guarantees of Concordia, they were carried out in two homes of San Salvador. during the operations, three people were arrested: two minors and one of legal age.
In addition, elements linked to the case were kidnapped, such as a motorcycle, clothing and cell phones, which will be subjected to expert opinions for more relevant information.
-Housing attack
The second event occurred during the early hours of Sunday in a house located on Avenida La Harmony. A man entered the home for reasons that are still investigated and attacked with a white weapon to the occupant of the place and his partner, who tried to defend him.
The aggressor, a man of legal age with a police record, was arrested after an investigation carried out by departmental headquarters. Likewise, raids were carried out at the detainee’s home and elements that could be key to clarifying the case were seized.
The occupant of the house suffered serious injuries and was referred to the “Delicia Masvernat” hospital in Concordia, where he remains under observation. For his part, his partner presented minor injuries.
Ongoing research
Both cases are being investigated by the Local Prosecutor’s Office with the support of the Division of Investigations and Criminal Intelligence. The authorities work to clarify the facts and determine the corresponding criminal responsibilities.
