Nîmes prosecutor, Cécile Gensac, explained at a press conference that the Main suspect, a 20 -year -old who delivered on Sunday, April 27 to the police in Italiait has not yet been delivered to France.
Gensac indicated that the crime was committed “In an isolated context, without ideological claims or links with a disseminating organization of claims ideological”.
“The reasons for the author of the events appeared very soon as deeply personal: a desire to kill, whatever the goal, and a morbid fascination,” he explained.
Therefore, the French justice has ruled out the intervention of the National Anti -Terrorist Prosecutor’s Office (PNAT) despite the victim’s family claims, called Aboubakar Cissé.
That young Malian died when he stabbed numerous occasions while he was voluntarily cleaning the Grand Combe mosquea town in the department of Gard.
His body was discovered hours later and it was also learned that the author of the crime had recorded a video while killing him. In the recording he made derogatory comments referring to the Muslim religion and implied that he intended to recover again.
“Discrimination for breed or religion It is not a sufficient criterion to send a case to the PNAT. Nor is the potentially international character of the case”, Said Gensac this Friday.
In no case, said the prosecutor, the fact of not dealing with crime as an act of terrorism is a “Relativization of the severity of the facts.”
