In detail with words and videos, the journalist Bessy Granja, from Ecuavisa, recalled the terrifying accident that almost made him lose one of his hands. The communicator at the moment is already at home recovering from the wounds, after four days hospitalized and an emergency operation that saved her limb.
According to a couple of clips that the news reporter of the Cerro Canal stumbled on the stairs of his house, between April 24 and 25. Farm climbed with a glass of glass and, when falling, the container also fell and the fragments cut off at the height of the wrist and the base of the left hand, as detailed in his Instagram account.
“I must confess that this accident has been the most terrifying experience and a proof of faith in God,” Farm said, sharing a clip inside his home, at the time of the accident. He also showed the cut in his hand, while spilling blood for the cuts that caused the still embedded glass.
“Roberto, my husband, improvised a tourniquete, before my pleas that I don’t let my hand lose. Now that I think about it, I placed so much responsibility on his shoulders. He did not hesitate while repeating: ‘Quiet, everything will be fine’”.
As narrated by Bessy Granja, he could not access an ambulance in his sector, so he had to move to a health center in his own car. He was finally treated at the EUEs Clinic. “I deeply thank Dr. Andres Rivadeneira for saving my hand in an intervention that lasted almost three hours (until 3am) … by his side, Dr. Jimmy Andrade and the rest of the surgical team, which were part of this intervention.”
According to her publications, the journalist fulfilled four days of hospitalization and has been at home for another four more days. In his publications, the final result of his hand is also appreciated after successful surgery that has fortunately returned mobility. (I)
