The vice president of the Republic, Félix Ulloa, signed as a witness of the agreement signed between the Trinational Commission of the Trifinio Plan and the Fire Rescue International Training Association (fried) for the “strengthening of local capacities” on the environment.
The vice presidency reported that this agreement would collaborate in the preservation of the environment, risk management, take actions to protect ecosystems and strengthening in emergency response.
“This initiative seeks an effective articulation that benefits local communities, strengthens inter -institutional work and promotes regional resilience against environmental threats and the effects of climate change.”

The Trinational Executive Secretary of the Trifinio Plan, Liseth Hernández, said during the signing that this agreement will allow “the conservation of the Biosphere Reserve” of the Trifinio Plan that encompasses Border Territory of Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras.
Around this agreement two phases have been made:
- Diagnosis of capabilities.
- Dialogue, training and development of new programs.
