Latin American Summary, May 4, 2025.
The Russian president says that authorities of the country do not consider nuclear option for the conflict with Ukraine, and believes that, with time, reconciliation will arrive with his neighbor.
In a fragment of an interview with Russian state television, published in the telegram account of the journalist Pavel Zarubin, Putin said that Russia has the strength and means to bring the conflict in Ukraine to a “Logical conclusion.”
In response to a question of the aforementioned journalist about whether the use of nuclear weapons against Ukrainian soil has been weighed, Putin confessed that the option had not been raised. “There has been no need to use those weapons (nuclear) … and I hope they are not necessary”, pointed out.
However, he emphasized that, despite the current conflict, Reconciliation between Russia and Ukraine is an inevitable process that will depend solely on the passage of time. “It seems to me that it is inevitable, despite all the tragedy we are living now. It takes time. Yes, it is a matter of time,” Putin said.
Russia announced a high unilateral fire on the Ukrainian front from May 8 to 10 on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany in World war II. However, while Moscow reiterates its will to peace, warns the Ukrainian part with an adequate and effective response, in case of a violation of the ceasefire.
Russia premieres furtive hunt even more powerful than Su-57
The Russian government presents the 2025 Sukhoi Su-57 model, the main fifth generation furtive hunt, now more advanced than ever.
At the end of April 2025, Images came to light an unknown Air-Superficie cruise missile in the Kapustin Yar test field in the Astracán region, Russia.
The missile, which was inspected by the vice president of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, has been promoted as an evolution of Su-57the main furtive hunt for fifth generation of Russia.
Designed for aerial superiority and precision attack missions, the updated Su-57 combines furtive technology, supercrucero capacity, advanced plane and unique maneuverability.
This last variant has improved engines, updated radar absorption materials, cabin systems with AI assistance and compatibility with new generation hypersonic missiles.
Russian Fuentes have compared the missile with the American air-surface American ‘AgM-158’ (JassM), stating that it is designed for long-range and low observability attacks.
The missile design has a visual resemblance to the Russian cruise missile ‘KH-101’, with an aerodynamic body and an “pencil-shaped” eye that some analysts have described as similar to the ‘AGM-158’.
As of April 27, 2025, the missile will be intended for tactical airplanes and its characteristics or name have not been revealed.
Unlike ‘KH-101’, which is launched mainly from strategic bombers such as the ‘TU-95’, the new missile is apparently designed for the ‘SU-57’, a platform built to compete with Western poaches such as the ‘F-35’.
The presentation of the missile has caused a heated debate among military analysts, asking questions about Russia’s ability to develop such an advanced weapon in the face of the sanctions and the needs of the war in Ukraine.
