Almería, May 6 (EFE) .- The forest fire declared last Saturday in El Pocico place, in the municipality of Huércal de Almería, has been extinguished at 8:30 p.m. on Monday, as reported by the Infoca Plan.
The Andalusian Forest Fire Device has communicated extinction through its social networks, where it has indicated that it is “a good way” to fire the day, after several working days on the field.
The fire, originated by a dry storm, also affects the municipal terms of Gádor and Benahadux, and forced the preventive eviction of about twenty people in the Las Balsas site, without personal damage occurring.
During the weekend, more than 150 professionals, as well as aerial and land means, were mobilized to deal with the fire, which quickly spread through an area of difficult access, with complicated orography and wind gusts.
The fire was controlled early Monday and, since then, two groups of infoca forest firefighters remained in the area performing surveillance and auction work. EFE
