What parts of Colombia inhabit black widows and how to prevent their presence at home?
Black widows can easily identify, as their name indicates, they have a totally dark body and a red spot in their central abdomen, with a silhouette very similar to that of a sand watch. Inhabits the temperate and warm regions of Colombia and for their aversion to humans they take refuge in dry, dark and little busy areas. They can be found under rocks, between cracks or even hidden in some types of plants.
To prevent your presence at home, it is recommended to keep the dark areas of the home well to be neat and avoid neglecting gardens with rocky areas, as these areas can be very cozy for this type of arachnids. Likewise, people who live in areas where these organisms can live should check their shoes very well before using it, because these places could also be a favorite place of refuge.
