The Joaquione of the most successful artists of the moment in Argentina, known by hits as “butakera” and “two kisses”, has traveled a long musical way, since its inception in the Freestyle to become one of the great referents of the RKT movement. His career has been a constant evolution, through genres such as trap, cumbia and reggaeton.
Before reaching fame, the Joaqui, born Joaquinha Lerena, began in the Freestyle atmosphere in Mar del Platawhere a name was made by participating in square competitions. It was in that environment where he won the respect of his peers, but he also had to deal with several controversies, such as his famous battle against Papo MC, his ex -boyfriend, in the national final of Red Bull, and an episode of physical aggression that left a scar on his face.
This harassment, especially for being a woman in such a competitive world, led her to move away from the Freestyle circuit and focus on her musical career. Over time, the Joaqui began to launch her first singles and collaborated with other artists close to her, starting her solo career.
One of his first releases was the collaboration with Nahue MC, a Marplatense rapper, in the single “Effect 27”, which shows a young Joaqui in her hometown, La Feliz. In the video clip, its image was much more natural and simple than the current one, without so much production, but with the same talent to compose that characterizes it today.
Thus, the artist who today knows as a great figure of Argentine music, began his way more humble, facing challenges and making it clear that his talent and perseverance would take her away.
