When we think of exports, growth and diversification, the first thing we see are destinations such as China, the United States, Japan, Europe and not to South America, which offers us enormous opportunities for participation for our companies, especially small and medium -sized ones. In this context, Brazil is a giant, very close to Chile and one of our most powerful commercial partners in the region.
Brazil is currently a strategic partner for our exports. It is the first commercial partner at the Latin American level, the third destination for our exports not copper no lithium in 2024, and, above all, it arouses great interest of the business world, so much that one in ten makes shipments to Brazil. The trade we have with this country is so great, that currently, and with great pride we can say in Brazil we are main suppliers of products such as salmon and trout, wines in its different strains, olive oil and also of fresh fruits such as grapes, apples and kiwis.
It also has great relevance for small and medium enterprises. In 2024, 315 SMEs registered shipments to Brazil, increasing the amounts sent by more than 50%, moving from US $ 61 million in 2023 to US $ 92 million in 2024. The same has happened with service exports, which have grown by 112% in five years, arouseing the interest of Chilean innovative startups and companies, where the suppliers for the mining industry, Fintech and other ICT A good reception, showing a promising future for our exportable offer with added value, which has been growing significantly in recent years.
From Prochile we see Brazil as a close destination to encourage diversification, and conducive to national SMEs. This year we have a powerful work agenda in that country with activities such as a commercial mission and participation in Gamescom, on Summit Rio de Janeiro, promoting our innovation, in Aquishow with our companies providing aquaculture services; With organic products in Biofach, in addition, we have organized a commercial mission for beekeeping producers of queen bees, a visit and commercial mission to intersolar and participation with our mining suppliers in Exhibition.
In support of the Action Plan of the Ministry of Economy for the Bioceanic corridor, we have several tasks to fulfill such as the strengthening of the Tarapacá logistics ecosystem, and the potentiation of the exportable supply and productive chains. Together with the Subbrei we are making a diagnosis to identify the export potential of both regions; And also related to the bioceanic corridor, we have made commercial missions to Mato Grosso do Sul, in the context of the VI Forum of Subnational Territories of the Bioceanic Corridor of Capricorn, among others.
