Colombia and Peru continue to normalize their diplomatic relations, after impasse between Petro and Boluarte

As part of his visit to Colombia, Denegri also presided over the reopening of the Consulate General of Peru in Bogotá, a symbolic gesture that reinforces the intention of both countries to move towards a closer relationship. As reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru, this Consulate will play a key role in attention to the Peruvian community in Colombia and in strengthening bilateral links.

Colombia and Peru share an Amazon border of more than 1,600 kilometers, which has led both countries to develop a strategic relationship based on regional cooperation.
