Bucaramanga (Colombia), May 6 (EFE) .- Racing Club thrashed Atlético Bucaramanga in the fourth day of the Copa Libertadores, a result with which he took the leadership of group E, with seven points, to Colombians, who are now seconds with five units waiting for what happened tonight between Fortaleza and Colo Colo.
In the Américo Montanini stadium in Bucaramanga, the current champions of the South American Cup imposed, with authority, with annotations of Adrián ‘Maravilla’ Martínez, Santiago Solari, Santiago Sosa and Martín Barrios, which claimed their favoritism to win the E.
The academy opened the score very fast, at minute 4, in a play in which ‘Maravilla’ Martínez received in the area a long pass from Agustín Almendra and pivot so that Solari took out a shot that Aldair Quintana stopped.
However, the local goalkeeper gave a rebound that Martínez, taking advantage of a uncoordination between the central Carlos Romaña and Quintana, sent to the bottom of the local goal.
Bucaramanga overturned, without creativity, to the attack and that tried to take advantage of visitors to harm the backlash, where the speed of Solari and Martínez was wreaking havoc to a defense that looked insecure.
The only clear of the premises came at the close of the first half when the side Fredy Hnestroza sent a center that controlled the Frank Castañeda steering wheel, which took out a strong shot that passed the right stick of Gabriel Arias.
In the second half, the Colombian team, led by Leonel Álvarez, went out to look for the draw and had his best game chance with a free kick from the Fabián Sambueza steering wheel that crashed into the right stick of the Chilean goalkeeper of Racing Club.
However, the Argentines cut the impulse of their rival at 55 when they took advantage of an error in Romaña and Solari out of the edge of the area to get a shot impossible to stop for Quintana.
The 0-3 reached 69 when the Carrilero Ignacio Rodríguez sent a center in a free and soda free kick, without greater opposition, headed in the area to celebrate and turn off the crowd that filled the Américo Montanini stadium.
At minute 94, the Argentines scored the 0-4 in a lethal counterattack in which Barrios, which had entered the second half, took out a shot that, in the first instance, it stopped Quintana but the rebound was comfortable to send the ball to the background to close a nightmare night for the hosts.
-On the fifth day, Bucaramanga will visit Fortaleza in Brazil next week and a day later Racing will receive Colo Colo in Avellaneda.
