Colombia and Peru share an Amazon border of more than 1,600 kilometers, which has led both countries to develop a strategic relationship based on regional cooperation. Among the main challenges they face jointly are organized crime, drug trafficking and climate change, problems that directly affect the border region and that require coordinated efforts for their solution.
