According to the export information processed by the DANE and the DIAN, in March 2025, Colombia’s exports were US $ 4,338.1 million FOB, which had a growth of 12.2 % compared to the same month of 2024.
This result was mainly due to 50.9 % growth in external sales of the group of agricultural, food and drinks.
In the reference month, external sales of fuels and products from extractive industries participated with 39.4 % of the total FOB value of exports; in addition, Agricultural, food and drinks with 32.2 %, manufactures with 20.5 %, and other sectors with 7.9 %.
In that sense, for March, it was stressed that Colombia exported 16.7 million barrels of crude oil, which represented a 9.9 % growth compared to March 2024.

On the other hand, the United States was the main destination of Colombian exports with a 32.3 % participation in the exported total FOB value; The participations of: Panama, China, Netherlands, Ecuador, Brazil and Mexico followed in their order.
The growth in exports to the United States was mainly explained by the highest external sales of coffee without toast decaffeinated or not (190.2 %) and flowers and foliage cut (22.9 %) compared to March 2024.
