The conflict focuses on the non -payment of a special bonus, for an approximate value of 28,000 million pesos, that would benefit more than 1,600 public servants of this entity.
As denounced by the Osemco Unionon December 5, 2024, an agreement was signed between the government and the workers, in which the delivery of a “migratory bonus” was contemplated.
The realization of a technical study for the structural redesign of Migration Colombia was also agreed, in order to improve its operability and respond properly to the growing demand for immigration service in the country.

However, he clarified that only the firm and official publication of the decree authorizing the payment of the bonus, as well as the beginning of concrete actions to redesign the Colombian migration structure, will allow to recover the confidence of the officials.
“This is a fair and necessary struggle. We do not want to affect citizens or service users, but we cannot continue to be ignored. The commitment must be fulfilled,” Osemco concluded, calling for public understanding to the possible discomforts that arise in the next few days.
