The Comptroller General of the State of Veracruz filed a complaint for the possible patrimonial damage for more than 200 million pesos in the Health services detected by the Superior Audit of the Federation (ASF) in Public Account 2023, in the Sexenio de Cuitláhuac García Jiménez.
Governor Rocío Nahle confirmed the complaint and warned that in case the diversion to the treasury is proven, he will call accounts to the former officials involved.
“I am involved in the issue of health and we are thoroughly reviewing because we find many things that were not well and I have to say it. The superior audit of the Federation makes us strong observations,” he said.
“The comptroller made the pertinent complaint. We have to follow up and, if there is patrimonial damage, he will have to call accounts to whom he was secretary of Health, as marked by the audit itself,” Nahle said Monday, after the commemorative ceremony of the battle of May 5.
Nahle said his administration will not cover up acts of corruption. “My work is to take care of the heritage of Veracruz,” he said, even when the responsibility is the previous Morenista government of Veracruz.
The ASF detected apparent irregularities for more than 1,600 million pesos in the health services of Veracruz (SESVER), mostly associated with contracts directly awarded to recently created companies, of various turns to those of health and whose “owners” were beneficiaries of social programs during the past six -year term. Nahle only talked about 200 million.
After a forensic audit, the ASF ordered to initiate 24 investigations against agency officials for irregularities in contracts without verifiable justification, which have to do with subrogation of medical equipment, hiring of cleaning service, freight and food.
The direct head of the financial operations in Sesver was Jorge Eduardo Sisniega Fernández, administrative director of the Ministry of Health and who maintained control of the area during the efforts of Roberto Ramos Alor-today CUITLÁHUAC GARCÍA.
