The Public Ministry on Tuesday requested preventive detention for 30 days at the Palmasola prison for Judge Lilian Moreno, who annulled an arrest warrant issued against former president Evo Morales, who is prosecuted for the case of trafficking.
The request, according to the imputation, was filed before the Court of Criminal Instruction, Anticorruption and against Violence against Women No. 4 of La Paz. Prosecutor Fernando Espinoza requested that, given the “procedural risks”, the application of the precautionary measure (preventive prevention) is at the Palmasola Criminal Center for 30 days, while investigative actions are carried out.

On April 30, Moreno, Judge of Santa Cruz, issued a ruling that annulled the arrest warrant against Evo Morales issued by the Tarija Prosecutor’s Office, for the crimes of trafficking and trafficking of persons. Two days after the Peace Judge annulled the decision.

The Prosecutor’s Office argued that there are risks of escape and hindering the process, since the judge would not have enough elements of roots and could avoid undergoing investigation.
During the 30 days of detention requested, it is planned to take statements, request documentary evidence and access audience recordings related to a freedom action processed in Santa Cruz.
