On the last day of competition, Mexico conquered the complete podium in that test, thanks to the performances of the runner -up of Paris 2024, Ángel de Jesús Camacho Ramírez, who ended first with a time of 2: 40.13 minutes; The Paralympic multimedallist of London 2012, Gustavo Sánchez, obtained the money with 2: 51.87, while the Parapanamerican medalist, Marcos Zárate, stayed with the bronze with 3: 25.80.
With this result, the winner of a silver and two bronzes in Paris 2024, Ángel Camacho, concluded with two medals in Fuji-Shizuoka, bronze in 50m back and gold in 150m individual combined.
“It represents the work of a whole work team, starting my first competition of the year very well, with the aim of having very good results in the Singapore World Cup,” he shared to Conade.
During the last day of activities, the Mexican delegation took a harvest of five medals: a gold medal, two silvers and two bronzes, in addition to two golden badges of youth category.
With these results, Mexico concluded with a total of 10 elite medals (a gold medal, five silver and four bronzes) in the fair that represented the seasonal start for most Mexican team, which aims to achieve its classification to the 2025 World Singapore World Championship.
The next international commitment of Mexican Swimming will be the United States World Series (for Swimming World Series USA) that will be held from April 24 to 26, in Indianapolis.
