ICE presents retention orders against 2 illegal foreigners, one of them accused of trying for shooting murder

The United States Immigration and Customs Control Service presented this week an arrest warrant against a Honduran who lived illegally in the United States and now faces of murder attempt after an alleged shooting in Memphis week.

The Department of National Security (DHS) reported in a release that Enoc Martínez, 24, faces five positions of murder attempt.

Fox 13 Memphis reported that Memphis police said the shooting began just after noon on , the agents responded to a report of a shooting.

A man was seriously injured in the incident before the suspect, later identified as Martínez, fled at speed.

Almost 15 minutes later, the police responded to a shooting. Three minutes later, the police located the suspect before he supposedly opened against two other vehicles.

In the third incident, a man was transferred to a hospital in critical condition, while a woman was about to be injured by a firearm, police said.

DHS said ICE presented an immigration arrest warrant against Martínez after the shooting.

Martínez illegally entered the United States in June 2024 as a minor not accompanied. At that , he was by the border patrol and delivered to the refugee resettlement office (ORR) before being placed with a sponsor in Memphis.

ICE issued a definitive order of expulsion from Martínez in 2022.

In another incident, on April 30 ICE in New York presented a retention order for immigration against Félix Rojas.

According to DHS, Rojas, who illegally entered the country on multiple occasions since 1998, was arrested in New York and accused of rape and theft of allegedly violating a body in a meter of Manhattan.

“With impunity, open border policies have allowed foreigners violent criminals terrorizing the towns and cities of the United States,” said Undersecretary DHS, Tricia McLaughlin. “Under the leadership of President Trump and the Secretary [Kristi] Noem, ICE works tirelessly to expel the worst of the worst of our communities. If you are illegally and infringe the law, we will persecute you, we will stop you and lock you. “
