The City Council will launch next week the summer cleaning campaign, which will undertake intensive work on roads, sidewalks, green areas, parks and gardens of the ten parishes of the municipality. This year, the campaign will have a remarkable reinforcement in the number of personnel, with a total of 18 workers who will allow the entire road network and public spaces to reach more effectively.
Specifically, 10 operators will be allocated for the road cleaning brigades, while for the cleaning of green areas, parks and gardens 3 workers will be dedicated. In addition, the APRO Rural Program provides 3 more troops that will contribute to the surveillance, maintenance and protection of the natural environment and green areas under adequate safety conditions, acting in the prevention of forest fires with the cleaning of sensitive areas.
On the other hand, Mos’s City Council comes from signing an agreement with the Ministry of Rural Affairs, thanks to which two motor vehicle drivers will provide their services in fire prevention during the 3 months of summer.
As a complement to this campaign, this week the renewal and planting of new natural seasonal elements in municipal gardens and public spaces began.
The mayor of Mos, Nidia Arévalo, highlighted the importance of this summer campaign: “It is a very necessary and essential service for us to be in the right state, both from the point of view of daily maintenance and the image it offers to its neighbors and visitors.” The governor stressed that “the goal is to reach the ten parishes of the City Council, acting in all those points that need a set -up for summer.”
The planned actions will include the slide of gutters and roads, the cleaning of weeds in green areas and the tuning of the parks and gardens, thus guaranteeing road safety and good conservation of public spaces. These works will contribute to prevent forest fires, especially important at this time of year.
Mos’s City Council appreciates citizen collaboration and requests understanding for the possible inconveniences that can be derived from these works, remembering that they are fundamental actions to improve the quality of life in the municipality.
